Photographers

There are artists amongst us, who see what others do not see, feel what others do not feel. Explore the work of some talented Australian landscape photographers.

Film Photography

I find that photography is a meditative pursuit, an escape from the stresses of an increasingly high speed techno-commercial world.

Newer, faster, is not always better. There are others who agree.

Walking/Trekking

Climb the mountains and get their good tidings. Nature's peace will flow into you as sunshine flows into trees. The winds will blow their own freshness into you, and the storms their energy, while cares will drop off like autumn leaves. ~ John Muir (1838-1914)

Environment

Man has been endowed with reason, with the power to create, so that he can add to what he's been given. But up to now he hasn't been a creator, only a destroyer. Forests keep disappearing, rivers dry up, wild life's become extinct, and the climate's ruined and the land grows poorer and uglier every day. ~ Anton Pavlovich Chekhov

And so it goes for what little remains of our precious natural environment. I weep for what we have done, and incredibly, continue to do.

Ask yourself, what kind of world are we leaving for our children? Then support those who see beyond the greed and short term profits.

Justice and a Better World

Cowardice asks the question, "Is it safe?". Expediency asks the question, "Is it politic?". Vanity asks the question, "Is it popular?". But conscience asks the question, "Is it right?". And there comes a time when one must take a position that is neither safe, nor politic, nor popular but one must take it because one's conscience tells one that it is right. ~ Martin Luther King Jr.
