Little Deadman's Bay to Louisa River

From Little Deadmans Bay the track climbs up over the Ironbound Range and descends again on the western side of the range to Louisa River.

The eastern slopes of the Ironbound Range are covered in dense rainforest. Rain greeted us in the morning, meaning a slippery, muddy climb to the crest of the range and an icy gale and thick mist at the top for good measure.

Fortunately the cloud began to lift around the middle of the day and the descent to Louisa River on the open rocky western slopes of the range was far more pleasant.
