Melaleuca to Wilson Bight

From Melaleuca, a well established track heads south across open and often wet buttongrass plain to New Harbour Range. Much of this track is now wooden duckboard. Just before New Harbour Range a turnoff to the west leads to New Harbour and on to South West Cape, while the main track continues south to Freney Lagoon and Cox Bight.

Wilson Bight, the last beach before South West Cape, is about two days' easy to moderate walking from Melaleuca. On the way the track passes several other beautiful beaches at New Harbour, Hidden Bay and Ketchem Bay.
