Horseshoe Inlet
The route from Noyhener Beach to the southern shore of Horseshoe Inlet is mostly trackless although light pads do exist in some areas. Walkers must cross two mountain ranges, South West Cape Range and Pasco Range, and some light scrub is encountered in places. In fine weather navigation is not difficult and the crossing to Horseshoe Inlet can be made in about 6 hours.
Horseshoe Inlet is a long shallow inlet extending south-east from Bathurst Channel. Some large creeks flow into the southern end of the inlet and at least one these, Horseshoe Creek, is quite deep and usually requires a swim to cross it.
