The legendary Arne Sorensen on the bridge of Nella Dan. Captain Sorensen's crew considered him "the best ice skipper in the world". Nella Dan sailed over 1,000,000km in service of the Australian Antarctic Division over a period of 27 years. She was a much loved ship, and Captain Sorenson a much respected skipper.
