The breathtaking view to the south from Gondogoro La (5,940m)
The prominent spire in the centre of the picture is Laila Peak (6,096m)
From the top of Gondogoro La to the Gondogoro Glacier below is a descent of approximately 1km down a steep avalanche prone scree slope. Usually about 300m of fixed rope is used at the top of the descent.
