Hobart to Melaleuca and return

Melaleuca, a tiny outpost deep in the heart of the South West Wilderness, is the hub for many extended walks in to this remote part of Tasmania.

Access to Melaleuca is only by boat or by light aircraft from Hobart.

These images were mainly taken from light aircraft between Melaleuca and Hobart. The aerial shots were necessarily taken through a perspex aircraft window and are unfortunately degraded as a result.
