Wish List...
If wishes were fishes, we'd all cast nets in the sea...
Eric Bogle, Song Writer and Musician
Phil Irving once wrote that a V-twin is the ideal motorcycle engine, and the single is the only practical alternative.
And he should know.
Ducati
Truly one of the most revered names in motorcycling, Ducati has long been equated with performance, handling and beauty of line. From its giant-slaying singles of the sixties through its thundering twins of the seventies to its high tech road rockets of today, Ducati has melded form with function to create some of motorcycling's most memorable machines.
Vincent
Designed by legendary Australian engineer Phil Irving, the Vincent-HRD Black Shadow when new was the world's fastest production motorcycle. Probably the best known of all Vincent-HRD machines, it's been described as 'one of the world's most fantastic motorcycles.'
Philip Vincent's stress on appearance and performance was legendary. His machines bristled with innovative features, but above all else it was the V-twin's stupendous performance that captivated motorcyclists. Not until the advent of Jaguar's XK120 was there a production sports car that could live with the thundering V-twins from Stevenage.
Production of Vincents ceased in 1955, but to this day, the Black Shadow continues to fascinate motorcycling aficionados and the general public alike.
