SP01-34-35
The track along the NE boundary fence, looking westwards from near Gnowellen Road. The fence at the right marks the northern boundary of Stirling Range National Park. Moir Hill is in the distance behind the small hill at the left and obscured by low cloud.
Walkers heading for the Stirling Ridge must walk 6km westwards along this boundary track before turning south towards Ellen Peak. From the boundary track the approach to Ellen Peak is initially through trackless open eucalypt scrub for about 1km and then up a well defined pad on the spur leading to Ellen Peak. The track on the spur is easily seen from below providing it's not covered in mist!
